I posted too soon last week from my lawn chair in the outfield of Henry's T-ball game. Once O had some pictures and he had made some plays I uploaded them and published the post, but Henry wasn't done yet. He still had one big play left on his way to winning the player of the game award and game ball...
His next time up he hit a grand slam.
A hard grounder between the shortstop and second base found it's way between what were likely two distracted young outfielders, and Henry had a chance to round the bases, clearing them. He came home beaming, getting high fives from players and coaches, and had a huge smile and high five for his Mommy.
At the end of the game, I asked him if he knew what a grand slam was. "It's like a home run, but a really big one." Not exactly, but A for effort. Henry Jay always manages an A for effort.
