Saturday Par-tay

Who's ready for a party out in Naperville? Mommy wasn't she had too much work to do, so the boys headed out with Daddy and we did our darnedest to have a good time.

We started by raiding Aidan's past Halloween costumes.

Then we got into the boys hats and baby toys. The second picture kills me, it's like Miller's busting some sort of dance move.

Then we hit the spread. Hot dogs, brats and Culver's ice cream.

Then we moved on to the superhero toys, and yard games.

By the end of the day we were so hot tired and exhausted we could have gone to sleep on a rock (or perhaps Miller was trying the latest "planking" craze)?

But we ended on a high note before we headed home for the evening to see Mommy.

Henry funny

I wanted to quickly document this somewhere because it was so cute.

The other day, I was out having a snack with the boys at a small cafe. There was a woman a table away who was very heavy. Eying her (or so I thought), Henry climbed urgently onto my lap. I braced myself for what I thought for sure would be a comment about the woman's weight. "MOMMY," he whispered loudly in my ear. "IS THAT MAN OVER THERE OBAMA?" I looked over, and sure enough, the woman's dining companion bore a very close resemblance to the president. I was simultaneously relieved that that was what had caught his eye, and proud of him for being so astute!

Star-studded affairs

Just your basic Saturday dinner at the dining room table with Henry, Mommy, and a superstar baby pretending he wants  to avoid the paparazzi.

Then on Sunday we went to a picnic in the park. We listened to big band jazz, and danced with our friends.

And our quesadillas.

And our cupcakes.

Then, we conga!

And all in all had a really wonderful weekend.

Henry Jay's Puppet Show

I believe this is Henry Jay's first puppet show for Mommy and Daddy. And Miller. Since we're having some issues getting the blog window to capture all of the subtitles, click here to view the video on YouTube.

July 4th weekend with our little patriots was spent with friends out in Barrington IL where we got to participate in the parade, spend some time in the fire truck, and hang out lakeside.

Boys in red white and blue? Check.

Hmmm, curves ahead?

Greetings from a fire truck!

Who says you can't do "cheers" with mini brownies?

Just gearing up for a game of bags

Party 'til you're pooped

American flag, check.
