Smiley Baby

Frannie has been working on her toothless smile. It shows.

And the binky version

Yesterday afternoon we went to Mary and Peter's for Christmas dinner and playing

Henry liked the homemade cheesecake

The boys watched a show with Frances and Poppa

And today they got to wrestle with their cousin

All in all it was a wonderful visit in Minnesota for the holidays. Hopefully Miller feels 100% better soon, but he does appear to be improving.

Did He? Or Didn't He?

He did!
He did!

Santa really did come. Yup, that was the verdict at 5:30 this morning. The first thing out of Henry's mouth, before his eyes were even open was, "did Santa come?" That he did Henry Jay. And despite his unbridled excitement he still waited patiently at the top of the stairs while I grabbed a picture of them and was able to film then coming down to a Christmas tree surrounded by wrapped presents.

Joy.

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone from the great white north! The boys have been practicing their piano duet, in which they sing about how much they love their baby sister.
She's a cute one that Frances Genevieve, and today she got to meet her namesake Grandma Gen!
A funny story. As Ali was asking about what we should leave out for Santa (cookies) and his reindeer, Henry suggested instead of carrots we leave out leaves for the reindeer, "because, they are herbivores." See what watching some dinosaur shows on tv can do? And Miller was feeling well enough today to be photographed and he got Doggie to say cheese for the camera too!

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Sounds to me like the holidays are getting closer. A little elf has been appearing in our house each morning and today he had a little note with him. One of Santa's presents was too large to make the trip to Yaya and Poppa's house so the boys got it early. It was a trampoline set up in the basement! Henry said that little elf must have gotten help from all his elf friends to get it in there and set it up. Miller was too busy bouncing to rationalize its presence.
The other weekend we went to see Santa and plead our case - reminding him how good we've been this year and what we'd like for Christmas. Henry wants a super hero set. Miller wants a present. Need more specifics? Miller would like a blue present.
The other morning Ali took a little too long in the shower while the boys were supposed to be watching a show. Miller was able to reach and open the new jar of peanut butter. And the rest, as they say, is blog material.
"I'm putting peanut butter on my tongue." And the wall.
And then there's Frances. Frankie. Or when she's mad, Frankenstein.
And Henry's a barrel of laughs.

Thankful for Frannie G. and Her Family

So I'm sitting here in an apron. I've been making chili all morning as we have guests coming this afternoon to watch football. I've got a fussy Frances in one arm, and I can hear two boys in the basement getting into all sorts of mischief. So it seemed like the perfect time to try to resume blogging. We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that the list of things for which they are thankful is a long one. I know that we are thankful for our health, the health of our family and friends, and of course our 3 little ones. Henry mentioned that he was thankful for Mommy, and for running and jumping. We have some new pictures to share of our exquisite little girl Frannie and her two adoring brothers, Bobo 1 and Bobo 2. So without further ado... Here's our bathing beauty after her evening bath
Helping Henry on his name as many dinosaurs as possible project
A sleepy baby after a walk with Mommy
Playing with her brother Miller
And look who's a big boy going to school with Ms. Bera twice a week!
We also roasted marshmallows in the back yard one evening.
We celebrated Thanksgiving at Madden's house. We brought the cranberry relish, the stuffing, and some pies. They provided a fantastic turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, and fun company including a sing-and-dance routine.
