Instructions: Replace "Nana" with "Uncle Pete & Aunt Mary"

So, somehow, we got a little confused about who sent Henry a very cool birthday present, so your instructions when watching this video are, when your hear "Nana," replace it with "Uncle Pete and Aunt Mary."

Make sense now?

Look Out Below!

Henry and Miller had a great time on the playground at Woodside Avenue Elementary School. Miller also really loves trying to keep up with Henry.

Riding the Carousel

Some more videos I'm getting around to posting from out trip to New Jersey.

Henry thought the carousel was so cool he had to ride it again (thanks Nana!). This time he chose to ride the Tiger. I love his double point at the tiger when he's asked which one he's riding

Why do we love September? 1 Block Party, 2 Birthday Parties

First, Henry got his big boy bed.

Though sleeping in it required a little trial and error.

Then we held the block party. With a bouncy house, water balloon fight, extra bowls of cheese puffs, and all.

We even had time to drink a quick beer.

And round up everybody in the dirty kids gang.

Then we had to jet off to Grandma Pat and Poppop's house, to make faces, go to the library with Aunt Jessie, ride the carousel with Nana, take a day trip into New York City, walk the Brooklyn Bridge, give Miller a driving lesson, have a cookout at Nana's, feed the animals at Abma's Farm, eat a Cookie Monster cupcake from the Wyckoff bakery, play at the local playgrounds, and celebrate Poppop's 65th birthday with him.

But sadly we had to say goodbye, thanks cousin Riley!, so we could get back to Oak Park for...

We started celebrating with Yaya and Poppa at the Oak Park River Forest Huskies football game under the lights on Friday night. We left after halftime while the game was still in reach.

Then we began the day in our new sand box.

Followed by a quick visit to the local fire department to drop off some farmer's market donuts to show our appreciation. This quickly became a tour of the firehouse and fire truck, lucky for the birthday boy.

Then we tested out Henry's new bike, and helmet. The helmet proved to be far more useful on Miller.

Then we opened up some more new presents.

And spent the afternoon at the Children's Museum with Liam and Madeline, followed by a pizza dinner and cupcakes for dessert.

And one last trip back out to the sandbox before bedtime.
